Life Legacy
Alicia Kifuri, age 92, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 in San Antonio, TX. She was born in Piedras Negras, Mexico to parents, Alberto and Agapita Caballero on June 23, 1919 although her legal birthday was December 25, 1919. She was a surviving relative of General Manuel Caballero, of the Mexican Revolution. Alicia was married in 1946 after WWII to Emilio Kifuri, Jr. in Eagle Pass, TX. Together, they owned a family business of Cosmos Tours and handled religious Pilgrimages to Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, Mexico and the Holy Land for 18 years with Archbishop Patrick Flores. Alicia was preceded in death by her husband, Emilio Kifuri, Jr. and daughter, Alia K. Herrera. She is survived by her sons, Emilio Kifuri, III, Richard Kifuri; sister, Yanet Garza; grandsons, Jorge Herrera and wife, Victoria, Javier Herrera and wife, Katherine; great-grandchildren, Ilan Herrera and Alejandra Herrera; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Porter Loring McCullough, 1101 McCullough Ave.
