Roland A. Eisenhauer

March 15, 1918 - January 4, 2012

Roland A. Eisenhauer, born March 15, 1918 died on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the age of 93 years.

He was a native and lifetime resident of San Antonio, being the great-grandson of Texas Pioneer, Viktor F. Bracht who emigrated to Texas in 1845 and Paul Leonhard Eisenhauer who settled in Quihi Texas in 1846. He served in the Pacific with the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, St. Mary’s University and St. Mary’s Law School. Roland practiced law in San Antonio for over 50 years, first as a sole practitioner and then as a shareholder of Eisenhauer and Eisenhauer, P.C.

Roland was a part time musician and boasted an extensive collection of both classical and big band music records. As an avid and faithful Catholic he had been a member of the Catholic Lawyer’s Guild and the Order of Alhambra. As a college student he founded the Nocturnal Adoration Society in San Antonio and participated in weekly adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for over 50 years. He prayed the Rosary daily.

Roland A. Eisenhauer was preceded in death by his wife, Madeleine Q. Eisenhauer.

He is survived by his four children, David R. Eisenhauer and wife, Alice Louise, Mark A. Eisenhauer and wife, Pat, Mary Laura Beal and husband, Raymond and Paul A. Eisenhauer; nine grandchildren, Laura E. Eisenhauer, Thomas D. Eisenhauer, Mary Alice Eisenhauer, Adam M. Eisenhauer, Jacob R. Eisenhauer, Madeleine A. Paul, Frances Zoe Jones, Austin Z. Beal and Joshua R. Beal and one great-grandson, Andrew A. Eisenhauer.
