Life Legacy


James William Craig, age 34, of Houston, TX, died Sunday, February 26, 2012.

James attended St. Mary’s Hall and graduated from The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT.

As a youth, he was an award winning gymnast. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO. James was an accomplished artist working with pottery.

He worked with custom interior wall finishing and landscape design.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence J. Levendofsky, Gladys (Viselmeyer) Levendofsky and William L. Craig.

James is survived by his parents, Dr. William and Jean Craig; sister, Ann Befroy and husband, Douglas; brother, Andrew Craig; grandmother, Betty (Eye) Craig and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Interment will be in St. Josaphat’s Catholic Cemetery in Belleville, KS on Wednesday, March 7, 2012.

A ceremonial tribute to his memory will be held at 6530 Buffalo Speedway in Houston, TX, Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A memorial fund has been established in James’ memory. Memorials may be made to the James William Craig Memorial Fund in c/o Frost National Bank, San Antonio Medical, 7702 Louis Pasteur Drive, San Antonio, TX 78229.
