Life Legacy
James L. Gilbert, age 75, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 6, 2012. He was born on September 9, 1936 to Mildred and James Gilbert in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Upon receiving a football scholarship, he attended Trinity University where he received his degree in home building. While at Trinity, Jim met his future wife of 52 years, Lynn Hardin. An avid outdoors man, Jim passed on his love of hunting and fishing to his family members. He is preceded in death by his parents. Jim is survived by his wife, Lynn Hardin Gilbert; sons, James Gilbert, Larry Gilbert and wife, Hilary Monford; grandchildren, Claire and James Gilbert, Kate, Olivia and Logan Gilbert; brother, Larry A. Gilbert and wife, Susan and their two sons, Gary and Cary; sisters-in-law, Mimi McGannon and Betty Cox and her husband, Ronnie; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Regent Care-Blanco for their loving care.
