Peggy Branard

Life Legacy


Peggy Branard nee: Carrie Marie Gallagher entered eternal rest on July 24, 2008. She was born March 4, 1918, in San Antonio, Texas to Martha Z. & Mack T. Gallagher.

Peggy graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, class of 1936. A lifelong Methodist, she was a member of Prospect Hill Methodist church which later became St. John's United Methodist church of which she was a Charter member. She served faithfully on several boards & committees including the Jefferson Area Coop and the WSCS.

Peggy was also a member of the San Antonio Conservation Society, the Jefferson Alumni Association, & the Prospect Hill Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Past Worthy Matron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willliam E. Branard, her parents & a younger brother, Zellmer. Peggy leaves behind a loving family: daughters, Patti and Milton Zaiontz, Jr., Martha Ann and Fred Kappel, son William E. and Cheryl Branard, grandchildren: Lance and his wife Margaret, Jason and his wife Stephanie and Kandace Kappel, Wendi and her husband Brice Bivings, Carrie and her husband Joseph Barry, Robyn and Dallas Jimenez-Moore, Zack Zaiontz, and Austin Branard; great grandchildren: Blake, Kelsey, Alicia, Mallory and Tyler Kappel, Ryan Barry, Ryder Moore, Braeden and Brooke Bivings. Also surviving are brother, Tommy Gallagher and sister, Maxine Bowen.

The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the staff of Unit 5 at Morningside Manor and Vista Care for their care and comfort of our mother.
