We will miss Janie very much. So loving and tender-hearted, she was an important part of our extended family. She also had a delightful, mischievous sense of humor that I really enjoyed. I feel blessed to have known her.

My mother, Dorothy Degen, is sadden by the passing of Janie. She was a good neighbor and friend for a long time. She will be missed.

Ms.Obregon Changed my life,as a student at Washington Irving Jr. High I was a rebellious, troubled teenager on a road to no good.I had dropped out of school. My older sister and I sat in her office looking for her help to get me back into school. After a stern lecturing and me agreeing to behave and change my attitude towards others She enrolled me.I went on to Fox Tech High School learned a trade that I'm still working today. I'm 62 years old with 9 grandchildren.I often tell this story to many"that sitting before Ms. Obregon she saw a little piece of charcoal that she could turn into a diamond"and she did.... God Bless you and Thank-you
