To My Friend. You will be sadly missed. Tears stroll down my face in memory of you. We had wonderful times and made wonderful memories.New York, New Orleans, Florida, England, Williamsburg, and the enfamous day in Sante Fe. Only God knows why you no longer walk this earth, but I will remember forever the times we walked together as friends. Love Jana

When I try and explain/defend my organizational skills and how they have brought me success, I just say "I aspire to be just like my girlfriend...Gaylen! She is my role model." And role model she will always be. Such a sweet smile comes to my face when I think of my girlfriend. We had so very much in common. Joy and pain. Happiness and sorrow. As with all of her friends, smiles were routine. Aaah, the shopping. Aaah, the shopping. Gosh we were girls all the way. My girlfriend has always been there for me, for fun, for trouble, for love. Her wonderful spirit will always be around us. Her strength will always bring my success. I will strive to make her proud. I will strive to always be like her! She will live on in what she taught us to be!

Randy, I will never forget the first time that I met your mom it was almost 20 years ago. When I think back to the day you introduced me to her I think it was her birthday and you were introducing me to her and celebrating her birthday with a gift. I remember thinking how strikingly beautiful she was and how young she seemed to be well she was younger than my mom by five years. Gaylen immediately made me feel welcome in her well decorated home and she had a big smile and warm personality. I remember her to be enjoying a successful career with Revlon. It became quickly evident to me that she loved you immensely; she was proud of you and happy to see you so happy. I can’t put my finger on it but I saw a connection, a bond a love in both of your eyes for one another. I could tell she wished our visit would have lasted longer. She hugged us both and said she hoped to see or talk to you on the phone again soon. She made a great first impression on me and there’s only one first. I hope you and your family can find some comfort in your many special memories and in the thought of the happy years you shared. May the thoughts and prayers of all those who love you help sustain you at this difficult time. With sincere sorrow and concern, Kelly Marks Jochumsen

Dear Randy and family, Losing a loved one, seems to be one of the hardest things we go through in this life. One verse of scripture came to mind and I hope is helps you as it did help me during the loss of my mother. Psalms 50:15 "Call upon me in your day of trouble and I will deliver you and you shall glorify me." Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Cindy, Darryl and the boys

I grew up with Gaylen, going to W. W. White Elementary School, Jeff Davis Jr. High and of course, Sam Houston High School. We spent a lot of time together in our early years, at each other's houses on the East Side of San Antonio. Gaylen was beautiful, had a great laugh and smile, and will be missed by many. She left us way too soon, but hopefully, she is free from pain and in a much better place. God Bless Gaylen and her family. With love and deepest sympathy, Shirley Skrzycki Ahr

My memories of Gaylen are few and far between, but fond never-the-less.She was a great friend to my mother, Susan Reedy, and a presence in my life since early childhood. My earliest memory of Gaylen was in 1977 when Gaylen and Randy accompanied my mother and I to the premier of Star Wars. Another was in the late 90's when we went to Gaylens for Easter. We always had a good time. I will always remember Gaylen in that way. I hope she has found peace now. Love Always. Melissa
